If the guys at the Met Office have their calculations correct it looks like the UK and Europe are set for a very intense area of high pressure in the next few days. Predictions say the high pressure could reach 1050mb which would make it one of the most intense high pressure systems seen for over 30 years. Not only should that bring decent weather (plenty of sunshine) but high pressure can have a great effect on radio propagation.
The HF bands could certainly kick into life so keep checking the CB Radio and Ham bands for activity. Also high pressure can cause some very interesting effects on VHF/UHF in the shape of Tropospheric Ducting.
Of course it might all come to nothing, but fingers crossed we may see some very interesting conditions in the coming days....
