News today of the new Anytone AT-5555 PLUS and AT-5555 PLUS N, similar to the recently announced K-PO DX 5000 PLUS and CRT SS6900N V.

Two versions available: The AT-5555 PLUS N comes with the Noise Reduction Circuit and the AT-5555 PLUS comes without.

No prices seen as yet so it will be interesting to see how much extra is required for the Noise Reduction Circuit. CRT appear to be charging around £20 to have it installed in their 6900N V.

NEW Anytone AT-5555 With 10/11/12m?

 

An image circulating online appears to show a new Anytone AT-5555 which covers 12m in addition to the normal 10/11m.

As we know the K-PO and CRT versions of this popular radio have recently seen new models with a completely new board inside so it's no surprise that the Anytone brand would follow suit. However this is the first time we've seen one of these radios appear to cover 12m (24Mhz). Most people who buy this type of radio use them on 11m or maybe 10m so it's no big deal having 12m added but it's still an interesting development and we might see 12m added to the K-PO and CRT branded radios at some time in the future.... Maybe this is already possible via software?

UPDATE: CONFIRMED THAT THE K-PO DX 5000 PLUS CAN BE PROGRAMMED FOR 12M ALSO

It looks very familiar with several settings seen on other radios with similar 'hidden' menus. The board inside this new radio has no adjustment points so this would be the only way of changing things - (Do so at your own risk!)

NOTE THE FREQUENCY FIRST SHOWN ON THE SCREEN - 24.715MHz !!!!!
