With 2019 set to see the bottom of the current solar cycle all eyes are looking towards Solar Cycle 25.... When will it start? When will it peak? Is it going to be better or worse than Cycle 24?
Well over on nature.com they've taken an in depth look at how things are expected to shape up over the coming years. Initial reports suggest that Cycle 25 will be slightly better than Cycle 24 with a solar MAXIMUM expected around 2023/2024.
I cant help but wonder if anyone will still be around on CB or HAM radio by 2024.... I certainly hope so but technology changes so fast these days. Who knows what will come along to distract radio operators and drag them away from the hobby?
Will all communication simply take place over the internet in 2024 or will there always be those die-hard operators who refuse to ditch their radios?????
